From Personal Challenge to

Professional Mission: My Story

Understanding Challenges Firsthand

At six months old, doctors discovered a cavernous angioma in my brain. Multiple surgeries followed, but I was determined not to let medical challenges define my path. My passion for fitness became my anchor, showing me that with determination and the right support, we can achieve what others might think impossible.

Turning Challenges into Strength

By my teens, another brain hemorrhage led to more surgery. These experiences taught me invaluable lessons about resilience, adaptation, and the power of maintaining a positive mindset. They also showed me how proper exercise and wellness strategies could improve quality of life, even amid medical challenges.

Building a Different Kind of Training Practice

Today, my practice focuses on showing others that their challenges don't define their capabilities. I now work with people with various disabilities like:

  • Children with autism discovering their strength
  • Athletes with CP reaching new performance levels
  • Adults with anxiety finding confidence through fitness
  • And so much more!

Every client's journey reinforces my belief in the transformative power of adaptive fitness.

Vincent Laplante

  • Personal Trainer
  • Collegiate Athlete
  • Teacher with experience working with children with disabilities

Hi guys, my name is Vincent Laplante, I am 22 years old, and I am a personal trainer and collegiate athlete! More recently, I have primarily been playing golf as an amateur and as a university athlete, both in the US and here in Ottawa. However, I carry with me a very diverse sports background from AAA hockey growing up, to D1 basketball in college as well as D1 high school football. I recently came back to Canada and decided that I wanted to jump into the world of training and coaching by getting my PTS certification in the summer of 2023. Since then, I have had the chance to learn and work under Shaun’s guidance and support with a variety of clients of all ages and walks of life. I have a very easygoing, relaxed personality, I am someone who likes to interact with others, laugh, enjoy the small things in life and who’s not scared of making fun of himself from time to time! Helping others set and achieve their goals is what I look forward to with all my clients! Hope to meet you all soon!

I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, what you did, but they won’t forget how you made them feel.
