Parents couldn’t find anyone willing to work with him or even close to being able to relate to him. I have three out of his four conditions (epilepsy, asthma and hydrocephalus).

They heard about me on the radio (interview I did on CBC radio). Came to see me, told me they were having hard times keeping him mobile, the grip on his right side was weak from his control and that he had self confidence problems (being bullied at school).

I was honest to them that I had never worked with someone like him, but if they were patient with me I’d learn and do everything I can. Built a strong bond with him. Was able to get him more active and then one day his parents came in and said after a physical the doctor indicated that his grip strength on his cp side was now equal to his strong side after all the work we did. He also stopped putting on weight which was something caused from one of his epilepsy medications along with bad habits. That was one of the most amazing days of my life as a trainer and we’ve had many more since!

Was 100% convince she’d never have quality grip back in her right hand. Came running in one day jumped on me to tell me she carried her recycling bin him in her bad hand for the first time. After many progressions worked her way up to front squatting holding a bar with plates, deadlifting, and even shoulder pressing a bar overhead.

Had terrible posture. Many pulling movements and other basic movement patterns he was at a Christmas party a couple months ago and someone asked him if he had grown (which didn’t make sense at his age. We had fixed his posture and he is now walking more upright.

WHAT ARE PEOPLE SAYING?

"I trained with Shaun, and have to say he is a awesome personality, and he's really opened me up to a new way to approach working out, and also taught me a lot of mistakes I have been doing for several years, typically I don't sweat during lifting, but boy was I drenched after a workout with him."

Christie Lake Kids is a local charity committed to providing no-cost programming to hundreds of kids each year in priority neighbourhoods in inner-city Ottawa and through camp programming at our own property on the beautiful Christie Lake.  Because of this, we have entered the world of Adventure Travel to raise additional funds for our charity. In 2018, our charity saw 17 participants climb the Rainbow Mountain in Peru and in 2019; a group of 14 participants will be hiking the 160 km trek to Mont Blanc.  These adventures are often arduous, intense treks and as such, they require serious training plans to help get our participants in great physical shape to have a fun and safe journey. Thanks to Shaun Kehoe Personal Training, our trekkers have had access to fun, tough and first class personal training through his Strong Man program.  Shawn is professional and knowledgeable, he provides personal and group training sessions in a manner that is highly enjoyable....click here to Read More

WHAT ARE PEOPLE SAYING?

"Shaun came to me at a time when I was getting ready to play soccer. He gave me specific advice about how to stay safe on the field and have more energy. He gave me a work- out plan that dealt specifically with my sport and targeted the muscles that I needed to play the game. I was very confident to go out on the field knowing that Shaun had prepared me very well. I am delighted to recommend Shaun’s personal training to anyone in Ottawa."
