We are all going through a tough time right now. Life isn’t exactly what it’s usually like. Everything has been put on hold, we have all been asked to stay away from each other, and there is nothing but uncertainty in front of us. We have been given a challenge. We’ve been presented with a brick wall. The question is are we going to stand there and just stare at it, or do we have it in ourselves to put our heads down like bulls and knock that wall over?! A large portion of this is completely out of our hands. It’s up to the medical world to do what, from my personal experience, I fully trust it will do and that’s got this whole mess under control, and allow us to go back to a normal way of living. That’s their job so what is ours? Ours is to stay calm, keep ourselves and those around us strong so we can fight through this mess together. You just never know. We could come out of this as way stronger people then we were in the beginning!
What does Covid-19 put at risk? Our lives and our health. What am I suggesting? That we take as much control as we can to keep ourselves, strong, mobile, and as healthy as can be. Take advantage of this opportunity to start addressing all of those health issues (weight loss, injuries, strength, and stress management) that you have been pushing off and saying you’ll start working on next week or next month. Start working on taking care of your body and your mind, and all this will do is make you stronger and more willing to face the challenges ahead in life when this is all over.
This whole disaster should help create some more appreciation for the lives we live, and how they are not something to waste! Take advantage of the opportunities sitting right in front of you. Stop waiting, and telling yourself you can’t reach goals, by saying things like “I can’t do it”, because you’re only going to get one shot at that goal and you know deep inside you can do it. You do not have to prove anything to anyone but yourself. I know that is not easy. We all just want to throw it back in everyone’s face that once doubted us and said we couldn’t do it. Well, now is not the time for that. Now is the time to take care of you, become healthier, and more determined to go after those goals. Enjoy the process; appreciate all the little goals you reach along the way towards that big one. Use all the times you fail, or have to take a step back as tools of determination to keep going not to quit.
I don’t even know you, but if you’re reading this I can already feel the drive and determination in you. Believe in yourself and everything around you and the words you see all over my website will come true: Believe in yourself and you can get through anything!"
